December’s Featured Farmer - Wetherby Cranberry Company
This month at St. Charles Station, we’re celebrating Wetherby Cranberry Company, a sixth-generation family-owned marsh in Warrens, Wisconsin and a proud cornerstone of cranberry country.
Since 1903, the Van Wychen family has nurtured these vibrant bogs with a blend of heritage, innovation, and true Wisconsin hospitality. Today, Jim and Nodji—along with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—continue the tradition of harvesting fresh, hand-sorted cranberries that announce the arrival of fall across our state. Their passion goes far beyond farming; Wetherby welcomes visitors from around the world to learn about cranberry cultivation, especially during their beloved annual “Harvest Day,” where guests don waders and step right into the floating crimson beds for an unforgettable experience.
We’re honored to feature their extraordinary fruit in this month’s menu—bright, tart, and deeply rooted in Wisconsin history. Come taste the harvest that the Van Wychen family has been perfecting for more than a century.
As always our specials at St. Charles Station are gluten-free as is, with options available for vegetarian substitutions as well.
